Cartilage Cartel Jewellery Guarantee Policy

We are proud to stand behind the quality of our jewellery and offer the following guarantees in addition to your statutory consumer rights.

1. Titanium Jewellery – Lifetime Material Guarantee

Our Lifetime Titanium Guarantee covers the jewellery material itself and guarantees that implant-grade titanium will not tarnish, corrode, or degrade under normal wear*.

This guarantee does not cover:

Scratches, surface marks, or cosmetic changes resulting from normal wear
Bending, warping, or misshaping caused by impact or pressure
Loss of stones or components caused by snagging, impact, improper fitting, overtightening, or mechanical wear over time. This does not apply to manufacturing defects present at the time of purchase
Damage caused by exposure to harsh or industrial chemicals, or prolonged exposure to high-chlorine environments (such as frequent hot tub or pool use)
Accidental damage, misuse, or user error

* Please note: surface wear marks may develop over time. Examples include micro-scratches from normal wear, surface residue (such as soap film or skin oils), and loss of mirror-polish appearance. These are cosmetic only and do not affect the integrity of the titanium.

2. Gold-Plated & Silver-Plated Jewellery – 6-Month Guarantee

Gold-plated and silver-plated jewellery is guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase against:

Manufacturing defects
Breakage occurring under normal wear

This guarantee does not cover:

Plating wear, fading or colour change
Tarnishing caused by moisture, chemicals, sweat or skin chemistry
Scratches, cosmetic damage or surface wear
Improper cleaning or storage
Accidental damage, misuse or user error

3. Making a Claim

To make a guarantee claim:

Proof of purchase is required
Clear photos must be submitted for assessment
Claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis
One replacement per item is permitted under the guarantee
Replacement items are subject to availability; an equivalent item may be offered

Manufacturing defects are assessed based on the condition of the item, time since purchase, and evidence provided. We may request photographs to help determine whether an issue was present at the time of manufacture. Decisions are made on the balance of probabilities in line with UK consumer law.

If a claim is approved, we will replace the item only — refunds are not offered under the guarantee.

4. Statutory Rights

This guarantee is offered in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law and does not affect those rights.
