When I founded Cartilage Cartel in 2020, I wanted to create more than just another jewellery brand.
I wanted to make piercing jewellery more inclusive.
I couldn't understand why piercing jewellery was still designed as though everyone had the same anatomy. Fashion has embraced the idea that one size doesn't fit all. So why should ears be any different?
At the time, piercing jewellery was largely designed around a one-size-fits-all approach. Customers were expected to make standard lengths and diameters work for unique anatomy.
I wanted to change that.
So I created a destination where anyone could build their dream ear stack, with jewellery for every piercing, in every size and every style, all in one place. Because your ear stack should be as individual as you are. - Suzie

These hoops are the perfect size as I sometimes find huggies a bit too small on my lobe. They are so flattering and comfortable to wear - would definitely recommend and I'm already considering buying the silver pair

Listening to our customers has shaped every step of our journey. We expanded our sizing even further. We introduced more metals because everyone's needs are different. And We grew our collections to offer more choice, more versatility and more ways to build a curated ear that's completely personal.
Every question we answered, every customer we helped find the right size, every ear stack we helped perfect reminded me that piercing jewellery isn't just another accessory. Unlike a necklace, it's worn through your body, often every single day. It needs to fit correctly, feel comfortable and be crafted from materials you can trust.
