Cartilage Cartel Jewellery Guarantee Policy
We are proud to stand behind the quality of our jewellery and offer the following two separate guarantees in addition to your statutory consumer rights under UK law.
1. Titanium Jewellery – Lifetime Material Guarantee
Our Lifetime Titanium Guarantee covers the jewellery material itself and guarantees that implant-grade titanium will not tarnish, corrode, or chemically degrade under normal wear.
This guarantee applies to the titanium material only.
This guarantee does not cover:

Scratches, surface marks, or cosmetic changes resulting from normal wear

Bending, warping, or misshaping caused by impact, pressure, or force
-
Loss of stones or components caused by impact, improper fitting or handling, over-tightening, or mechanical wear over time
(This exclusion does not apply to manufacturing defects present at the time of purchase) -
Damage caused by exposure to harsh or industrial chemicals

Accidental damage, misuse, or user error
Please note:
Surface wear marks may develop over time. Examples include micro-scratches from everyday wear, surface residue (such as soap film or skin oils), and gradual loss of mirror-polish appearance. These are cosmetic only and do not affect the integrity, safety, or performance of the titanium.
2. Titanium, PVD, Gold-Plated & Silver-Plated Jewellery – 12-Month Guarantee
Titanium, PVD Coated, Gold-Plated & Silver Plated jewellery is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase against:

Manufacturing defects

Breakage occurring under normal wear
This guarantee does not cover:

Plating wear, fading, or colour change for PVD, Gold-Plated & Silver-Plated Jewellery

Scratches, surface marks, or cosmetic changes resulting from normal wear

Bending, warping, or misshaping caused by impact or pressure

Loss of stones or components caused by impact, improper fitting or handling, over-tightening, or mechanical wear over time
(This exclusion does not apply to manufacturing defects present at the time of purchase) -
Tarnishing or damage caused by moisture, sweat, or individual skin chemistry for Gold-Plated & Silver-Plated Jewellery
- Tarnishing or damage caused by sweat, or individual skin chemistry for PVD Jewellery

Accidental damage, misuse, or user error
Please note: surface wear marks may develop over time. These are cosmetic only and do not affect the structural integrity of the jewellery.
3. Making a Guarantee Claim
To make a guarantee claim, please contact hello@cartilagecartel.com and include:

Proof of purchase

Clear photographs of the item and the issue

A brief description of what has occurred
All claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Manufacturing defects are assessed based on the condition of the item, time since purchase, and evidence provided. Decisions are made on the balance of probabilities, in line with UK consumer law.
Where a claim is approved:

One replacement per item is permitted under the guarantee

Replacement items are subject to availability; an equivalent item may be offered

Replacements are provided in place of refunds
Our 12 month guarantee was launched on 1st January 2026 and is only valid on products purchased after this date
4. Statutory Rights
These guarantees are offered in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and do not affect those rights.
